Jessica Ogunye

As a first-generation Nigerian raised in the vibrant DMV area, Jessica Ogunye is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a holistic approach tailored to her client’s needs. She brings a unique cultural perspective to mental health care, enriched by her military service and a deep understanding of cultural beliefs and values. As a prescriber, she is here to educate you, manage your psychiatric medication, and facilitate comprehensive mental health assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.

Jessica earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Marymount University and her Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. Her nursing career began in 2016 at the Johns Hopkins Hospital with psychiatric experience in TMS, ketamine infusions, sleep studies, schizophrenia, and autoimmune encephalitis in pediatrics. She is a crisis prevention intervention instructor and spearheaded psychiatric nursing clinical trial competencies at the National Institute of Health.

She is trained to diagnose and treat various mental health concerns with a primary focus on anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, and sleep disorders. Her approach ensures you will have:
